- Sheriff Ellsworth: [to Air Force colonel] I get the awful feeling we're... getting close to what you're looking for.
- Colonel Jack Sydell: Yes, sir, Sheriff.
- Lt. Dillon: [Leading Mr. Stockton in] Commander Adama, if I may intrude. This is Mr. Stockton, the man responsible for the chemical by-products we mentioned in our transmission.
- Commander Adama: Ah, yes.
- John Stockton: How do you do, Your Honor? Um, Majesty - Eminence.
- [Chuckles]
- John Stockton: Eminence. Um - I only work there. I'm not really responsible.
- Commander Adama: We are all responsible.
- John Stockton: We are?
- Commander Adama: Yes. We have lips so that we may speak. We have eyes so that we may see. Does it not follow, ironically, that there must be some purpose for the brain?
- Captain Troy: Okay, we're out of time, children. Now I want you to grab your packs, put everything you can into them. Now, I want you to jump up into that tree.
- Commander Adama: Yahrens ago, I almost resigned my leadership because of the agony of decisions such as this.
- Dr. Zee: This time I'll spare you. I'm going.
- Commander Adama: You? You above all must not be risked.
- Dr. Zee: I above all have the best chance of succeeding.
- Sheriff Ellsworth: Awful early in the season for apples to be falling out of a tree...
- Deputy Collins: Especially when it isn't even an apple tree.
- Denver: [to Jamie] Now you just march your little fanny outta here!
- Lt. Dillon: What are you eating? Now, I told you, don't try anything unless you had permission.
- Moonstone: It's all right, I identified it.
- [checks his book]
- Moonstone: As the seed-bearing fruit that grows on a deciduous tree.
- Starla: It's called an apple, you frimp!
- Deputy Collins: It's just like I told you. Them body-stealers have moved into those poor unfortunate...
- Sheriff Ellsworth: [interrupting] Knock it off, Collins!
- John Stockton: I mean, I wanna help, but I can't have a company vehicle being used as a... an ambulance by people who would just as soon sue us out of business as look at us. You're talking about the life or death of this town.
- Captain Troy: I'm talking about the life or death of this child.
- Sheriff Ellsworth: No... don't believe in little green men. I'll bet the answer to all this is little green dollars.
- Lt. Dillon: [hiding up in a tree with the Super Scouts while being invisible] All right now, that's the last time we take you anyplace. You're behaving like children!
- Captain Troy: Dillon...
- Lt. Dillon: Yeah?
- Captain Troy: They are children.
- Lt. Dillon: With all they've been through, I keep forgetting.
- Lt. Dillon: I feel it's only fair to warn you that I'm used to a much denser climate. Consequently, I'm capable of retaliating in a way that would be grossly unfair to you.
- Commander Adama: The inevitability of a Cylon holocaust grows stronger every hour. Boxey, you must find a place for all our young. They'll be safe here on Earth.
- Captain Troy: Grandfather, when will I see you again?
- Commander Adama: When the time is right.
