Yes, We Have No Havanas (#4.1)

Warning: Spoilers
Blanche is dating an older man and later finds out that he is dating Sophia as well. The two continue dating him while having rivalry issues until he dies. And Dorothy is teaching an adult history class and Rose is taking it because she never got her diploma, only she is really bad at it.

It was fun to see Sophia and Blanche having rivalry over a man, they usually don't seem to get the same guys. Only Sophia was too kind to him at the funeral.

And I was all confused by why Rose thought that Hitler was her former history teacher, still got to laugh about it

An unexpected rivalry.

Blanche has been seeing a new, older man, the son of a famous cigar mogul, Fidel Santiago, but he strays away, somewhere close to home. Dorothy starts a job teaching adults, and gets a surprise student.

The first thing you'll notice, Dorothy has a new hairstyle, she looks younger than she did in the first three series, I'm surprised they didn't change the opening sequences.

Hopefully series four will continue along these lines, this was such a funny first episode, it was funny seeing two of the girls pitched against one another, two unexpected ones at that.

Rose has to be getting Battier with every single episode, who's Hitler.....

Favourite scene has to be the reveal of the other woman, that came as a big (well a little) surprise.

I couldn't imagine Blanche dating Fidel, he wouldn't have been her type.

8/10.

Probably one of the most consistently funny episodes of the series.

Warning: Spoilers
It's war for Blanche and Sophia as they go to battle over the sexy and virile Henry Darrow, the heir to a Cuban cigar company, and the acidic remarks are on overtime here. Estelle Getty wins on acidic remarks alone, although Rue McLanahan has a winner with "He's dipped his toes in the lake known as Blanche." Ralph Ahn also has a winning line (and name) as Dorothy's night school history student, Jim Shu, making sexual innuendos towards fellow student Betty White and gently insulting Bea Arthur. This is the type of episode you can watch over and over and still laugh.
