- A sheriff grabs Mr. Benson's ( Benedict Campbell ) leg and holds him down while the hard hat worker ( Scott Wickware ) snaps his teeth and nearly bites him. This scene is almost comical but could frighten younger viewers.
- As Amanda ( Amy Stewart ) and Josh ( Ben Cook ) run home, as they are about to go inside an old bag lady grabs at them, but they both narrowly escape.

- Amanda and Josh are running away from the factory workers and they try to go through a gate but Amanda trips and one of the workers grabs her leg and starts making a very weird yelling noise. This would be funny to most adult viewers but could frighten younger viewers.
- The factory works chase the Benson family up to the attic. one of the factory workers pops up from beneath the floorboards and grabs Mr. Benson's leg.
- One of the Dark Falls residents pops out from under the family car and chases the car as it speeds down the road. He screams that he is hungry and his face is moldy and decayed. This scene is meant to be funny, but it could frighten younger viewers.
- Many of the Dark Falls factory workers have decayed, moldy-green and blue faces (they're dead and rotting), and the whole town of Dark Falls is shown as very gloomy, menacing and full of boarded-up houses and factories, which could frighten viewers.
- A man grabs a girl's shoulder and tells her that "he needs to feed".
- The hard hat worker ( Scott Wickware ) resides in the walls of the "dead house" and continually tries to rip through Amanda's closet door and watches her. This could be frightening and disturbing to viewers, especially since it is an adult man living in a teenage girl's closet.

- Several Dark Falls residents are killed when exposed to the sunlight in the attic and are shown melting while they scream.
- Josh smashes a glass vase over Ray's head. Although he isn't really hurt by this because he is a zombie, the scene is very violent, but not gory at all.
- The family dog is killed and becomes a zombie.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Although the chemical factory accident in the show is never shown onscreen, the idea of the factory workers being killed in this way could be very frightening to people, including adults, as it is very intense to imagine. The newspaper found in the closet of the "dead house" has a headline on the front that could scare viewers as well: "Accident At Chemical Factory Kills Workers".
- As the Benson family is chased through the house by the Dark Falls residents, the house is torn apart.
