- Someone is burglarizing high society homes, using a series of "better homes" articles in Daily Sentinel's magazine supplement. Suspicion falls on reporter Mike Axford, and the Green Hornet searches for the real culprit.
- A wave of robberies is committed, all linked by the fact that each victim was interviewed by reporter Mike Axford. When Axford is found at one of the crime scenes and jailed on charges of murder, his boss Britt Reid sets out to uncover the truth. In his Green Hornet guise, Reid investigates a lead beginning with Ardis Ralston, a photographer working with Axford, and soon works his way up to the head of the operation. Testimony from Ralston could easily free Axford and convict the true criminal. However, capturing the crook without destroying their witness proves to be a difficult task.—Twenty Penguins
- When several homes of some high society people are robbed, the police are on alert. They respond to a reported break in at another home and they chase the suspect and grab him; it's Mike Axford. Britt talks to Scanlon who thinks he has a case because Mike did a series of stories on the homes that were robbed. Britt then goes to see Mike who tells him, he was there because he had a feeling it would be next and wasn't thinking when he ran. Britt knows a photographer worked with Mike on the story and it turns out to be the daughter of someone they know. Britt then turns into the Green Hornet and tries to find the thieves. He learns that a fence he knows might be involved. So he goes to see him but he denies anything. He calls the man in charge, whose girlfriend is the photographer and when he senses the fence is coming unglued he sends his men to take care of him. And that leaves Britt with no leads to help Mike.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
