Pre-war adventure feels like The Saint
Leofwine_draca17 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
VOYAGE INTO FEAR is the third of the HANNAY adventures and feels very much like an episode of THE SAINT, albeit set in pre-war times. There's plenty of fun from master Italian villain Gavin Richards, of 'ALLO 'ALLO and EASTENDERS fame, while Powell does his best to play manly and heroic. Once more a fine attention to period detail makes this a success.

Voyage into Fear
Prismark107 July 2020
Hannay visits an art gallery and a young girl claims to be his daughter.

The girl who is foreign claims to be in danger and wants Hannay to whisk her away. Soon Hannay and the girl are drugged and find themselves on a boat.

The villians force Hannay to assassinate a high ranking naval officer. The elaborate plan has been set up by Von Schwabing to force Britain and Germany into a war.

The kidnapped girl is the daughter of the Russian royal family.

This is another leaden episode, it just creaks under the weight of bad writing and some of the action scenes are badly staged. Even the make up and costumes on some of the characters are awful.
