Nancy and the disappearing car
bensonmum216 February 2017
From the vantage point of a glider, Nancy watches a car run off the road. The police investigate, but can't find anything and tell Nancy she must be mistaken. The road Nancy identifies has been closed because of a washed out bridge. However, the police later find the burnt out remains of a car matching Nancy's description, but on a different road. It's nowhere near the spot Nancy had pointed to. The police suspect insurance fraud, but not Nancy.

The Mystery of the Diamond Triangle is a decent enough episode - not the worst nor the best of the series. Nancy's big break in the case has little to do with her detective skills and more to do with sheer luck. She and George just happen to be in the right place at the right time to see how the car got past the washed out bridge. It's a fairly creative way to get a car over a missing bridge, but I wish Nancy would have discovered the truth in a different manner. Nancy and George's escape from the baddies was a bit far-fetched, but fun. Nancy gets to show off a little skateboarding skill. Also, it was a pleasure seeing Gordon Jump in a supporting role. I think he appeared in every show made in the 70s.

I'll call this one better than average and give it a 6/10.

Flying to get the Diamond TrianSoaring Award Oh oh

This episode is with Nancy and her female friend George. She is the piloting some sort of plane and she wants to get the Flying Diamond Award and George is her witness.

Ned their father's aide is driving a truck beneath them to transport the plane back once they finish the flight. During the process Nancy sees a car in an accident and tells Ned who reports to the police.

Ned reports it and is taken into custody because they do not believe him. The place where Nancy saw the car is said to have near a washed out bridge that has not been used for years. It is blocked so no car can cross. The police do not believe her or Ned.

Nancy does her own investigating. It gets very scary at times watching her and George climb around in the dark in the area of the washed out bridge.

Ned and Nancy investigate car information in the area where this happened. Nancy comes up with a very old popular car worth a lot of money and she believes that is what she saw. Through records an computer searches they find out answers to their question to help them solve the case. Lots of mystery and suspense.

The Mystery of the Diamond Triangle
coltras359 June 2023
Nancy (Pamela Sue Martin) sees a car go off the road into a ditch from a glider she is flying, but when the police don't find a car, Nancy, with the help of George and Ned (Jean Rasey, George O'Hanlon) investigate and find them selves in trouble with a stolen car ring.

Nice aerial shots with Nancy flying, an ingenious idea by the villains and some nice humour of poor George looking exasperated every time Nancy goes into her investigation mode are some of the good points in this episode, however general I found it rather average. But it's always fun to see Nancy doggedly follow the scent, which, after much intrigue pays off.
