Sixth-billed Tom Atkins (as Sgt. Frank Cole) has no lines, and is only visible on screen for 7 seconds. He can be seen starting at approximately 3:20 into the episode getting out of the car that delivers Harry to the crime scene. He then promptly enters another vehicle with Lt. Quinlan.
Over 10 minutes story time is wasted because following the two hired guns' (Johnny and Dave) break-in at the beach house -meant to be witness Dr. Noelle Kira's (Barbara Anderson) and bodyguard Harry's safe house -and the subsequent, deadly confrontation, Harry blows it by not picking up the guns of the two goons, Johnny (John Evans) now deceased and Dave (Jerry Douglas) momentarily unconscious after Harry nearly cracked his skull with the firewood-turned-club. There was no immediate threat to Harry and Noelle with their two attackers out of commission, so by simply picking up their firepower, two pistols, Dave would not be a threat to Harry and Noelle as they escape the house and seek shelter, safety and medical care for Harry's 'flesh wound.'
Therefor the last three minutes of Act II and the first nine minutes forty-five seconds of Act III are needlessly devoted to Harry and Noelle eluding Dave's gunshots.
