Meg Foster guest starred in this episode. You may remember her as the VERY evil woman from "They Live" and it's hard to forget her because of her piercing gray eyes. The show begins with this woman out taking pictures. Unfortunately, she accidentally takes the photo of a mobster who is assumed is dead--and he wants to keep everyone assuming he's dead. So, when she's spotted taking a photo, he has two of his thugs look for her--to get the film and shut her up for good. However, for much of the show, she has no idea she's a wanted woman. In the meantime, she meets Danno and they start having a relationship. But, when she catches one of the thugs in her hotel room ransacking it, she runs---and soon gets Danno involved.
In the meantime, a parallel story is occurring. High-placed mob members are being killed off by the same two thugs looking for Foster. It seems that 'dead mobster' is cleaning house--preparing to take over his old mob. As the summary indicates, it's pretty bloody for this show and also rather interesting seeing that one of the tough guys is George Wyner--a popular TV actor who didn't seem the type to be a cold-blooded killer. He usually played obnoxious weaselly guys! This isn't to say he was bad--just working against type. Another interesting appearance was by the ghastly looking Thayer David (who died soon after). I am not sure if his incredibly sickly pallor was deliberately created for the show or if he was really very sick and they were just playing up on this. It is funny, however, that last night I saw David in a movie--an odd coincidence since he wasn't that famous an actor.
Overall, a complex and exciting episode--filled with tense moments as well as providing us with insight into Danno's private life (apparently, he is not gay--but that's one of the few things we ever learn about Danny Williams in the course of the show). Well worth seeing.
