- Colby runs an operation that fences stolen goods with retailers enticed by too-good-to-be-true prices. Five-O enters the case when the body of a federal law-enforcement agent -- killed during a robbery on the Mainland -- is discovered in a refrigerator shipped to Hawaii. McGarrett & Co. turn up the heat as the body count increases.—Bill Koenig
- A "jobber," Ron Colby, is able to offer all sorts of merchandise to distributors at excellent prices. His strong-arm tactics include hijacking and murder. But his elusive methods of doing business (use of warehouses, no direct incoming telephone, no office as such) make him difficult to bring down.
When one of his new customers realizes that the goods he received were in fact stolen, his panicked reaction gives Five-O the clues they need to entrap Colby into admitting his culpability. But McGarrett and the team must first set up what amounts to a sting, including the use of tape recorders, to catch Colby himself in the act.
