"Miss Ding-a-Ling" Goes on Strike
kgraovac27 November 2023
Lucy goes on strike when Harry refuses her a ten-dollar raise. Later, she overhears him taking out an insurance policy and thinks he's out to murder her.

The strike was a good story idea but the execution is weak. The writers didn't have enough material for either plot, so they came up with this mishmash of an episode.

Mary Wickes has a good part here as another secretary in the building who eggs Lucy on in her rebellion. It's funny how today no one under 45 would be familiar with the term "Fink". It is the main slogan on the picket signs and used in the chant heard from the protestors.

The last act where Lucy simultaneously tries to hide from Harry AND knock him out is not as funny as the writers had hoped.
