Another Outdoor Failure

Lucy's new paperweight is a rock from Kim and Craig's geology project. Harry has it analyzed and when he learns it contains gold, the Carters head for the hills to find more.

Episodes set in the great outdoors never really worked on THE LUCY SHOW or HERE'S LUCY and this is another subpar effort

This episode seems padded. Gale Gordon performs a lengthy scene in silence where he booby traps the office so he can get his hands on the rock without Lucy knowing. There is a living room sequence where he plies everyone with a turkey dinner to find out where the gold came from. Neither are very funny.

Most notable for the second appearance in a row by Rhodes Reason and seeing MARY HARTMAN's father Philip Bruns in old-age makeup as the prospector who swindles Mooney.
