The women of Oracle lead by the teetotaler teacher Miss Frances O'Toole shut down Oscar Hipple's saloon by kicking everyone out and destroying it. Buck doesn't hit it big prospecting but does win big in a poker game so Oscar sees an easy mark. He sells his closed saloon to Buck telling him a tornado damaged it. Big John and his men greet Buck as he arrives. When they learn he bought the saloon, they can't conceal their laughter at the upcoming confrontation. As Buck begins the repairs, he hires Warren Bates a painter from the east to help repair the damaged paintings, etc. Buck learns Warren was to marry Frances after hitting it rich. He didn't strike it rich and when she arrived unannounced he was drunk leading to her movement against alcohol. Frances and the woman try to enlist Victoria's help to no avail. When they strike the saloon, Buck unlike Oscar has them all arrested. All the women agree to stop the protest in return for being released except Frances. That leaves it to Buck to help the ailing Frances to mend her ways and relationship with Warren.
