When Ralph says the phrase that is supposed to calm him, Gleason accidentally says "Pins and needles, needles and pins, it's a happy man that grins." But when Alice and Norton say it together at the end of the scene, they say it properly, "Pins and needles, needles and pins, a happy man is a man that grins."
Norton refers to the Kramden's apartment as "Little America". Little America was a research station in Antarctica in operation from 1929 to 1987.
Ralph refers to "Frietag the delicatessen's" which is exactly how it would be pronounced in Brooklyn.
