As House speaks to Dr. Webber in Hindi, he first says, "bahot shukriya," which means "thanks very much." However, the second thing he says, "teri maan ki," loosely translates to "your mother's vagina."
Dr. Wilson greets House with the comment, "Dr. Jekyll, I presume." That's two obscure references in one. "Dr. Livingston, I presume" is the apocryphal greeting Stanley used when he finally located Dr. Livingston in Africa. And Dr. Jekyll ill-advisedly tested an experimental drug on himself, just as House did in this episode.
James Immekus also played the role of a patient suffering from severe burns (although in this case, chemical burns) on Grey's Anatomy (2005).
