Cockamouse!!

Plot In a Paragraph: After Robin does an on-air report on her, Barney drags Ted to a matchmaking service owned and operated by Ellen Pierce, whose business claim to fame is a 100% success rate in three days. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily are scared about a creature they see in their apartment, the creature which they can't agree if a mouse or a cockroach. When they get a closer look, they come to an agreement on what it is, which their friends find ridiculous.

Not as funny as the previous episode, but it's enjoyable non the less as poor Ted is told there is nobody out there for him and a frantic Marshal and lily try and catch the mysterious creature.

All the cast do a fine job, and it's a well directed and entertaining television.

Matchmaker (#1.7)

Warning: Spoilers
Ted's story about using a matchmaker to find a perfect woman is pretty good. Unlike him I do believe that love can be calculated by science, but I liked how they made it anyways. Him going to that dermatologist and hitting on her using what he found in the profile even though she is about to be married was pretty fun. I also liked the moment when he ends up telling how he found her.

And there is also this bizarre story of Lily and Marshall finding a cockmouse in their apartment. Them dealing with it brings a lot of laughs including the finale when they drop it out of the window and it flies then going back to them

The One With The Cock-A-Mouse...

Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely love this episode. It's so funny. I love the use of a matchmaking service. I love that Barney is still scamming women at every turn. I just love everything about this episode. It has got to be one of my favorite episodes from the beginning of the series.

In this episode, Barney takes Ted to a matchmaking service, because he wants to scam women, as usual. But Barney gets thrown out, because the woman can tell that he's a fraud. Ted, however, decides to stay. Unfortunately, he doesn't receive a match. Well, that's technically not true. His only match is someone already paired up, and is actually getting married. Ted goes to meet this woman anyway, trying to convince her to go on a date with him. Really, Ted? Really? She's getting married. Get over it. Meanwhile, Lily, and Marshall find an interesting creature in their apartment, that scares the living hell out of them. The thing that makes it so terrifying is that it looks like a cockroach, and a mouse. Hence their name for the creature: Cock-A-Mouse.

Fun Fact: The woman that Ted is "perfect for" is a dermatologist. Ted ends up dating, and almost marrying a dermatologist (Stella).

Best part of the episode: The Cock-A-Mouse storyline.

Worst part of the episode: Ted's insistence that an engaged woman date him.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Freaking Ridonkulous.
