An aptitude for nothing
kevinolzak4 November 2016
"G.I. Jeannie" opens with Captain Nelson establishing a platonic relationship with Jeannie, though her kisses prove that she's the best 'buddy' he's ever had! A shortage of women in the Air Force inspires Jeannie to join up in order to become Tony's secretary, jealous of his current secretary (Eileen O'Neill). Tony doesn't complain because he knows that if she succeeds she'll undoubtedly be shipped off to North Africa like the others. The application process finds that Jeannie was born in Pompeii July 1, 21 B.C., making her 1500 years old (she honestly admits to being 2000!). In six weeks military training in San Antonio Jeannie learns that she has an aptitude for nothing, one day as a nurse's aide, another driving a jeep, leaving destruction in her wake at every stop.

Warning: Spoilers
Where do you start with all the inconsistencies? Why are they in different uniforms 3 episode in a row? They say Jeannie's birthday is July 1st yet later on in the series she doesn't know? Then it changes to April 1st? When drawing blood from Dr Bellows to switch with Jeannie's she just randomly pokes him with a needle and it is only for a couple seconds yet she has a full vial. You have to get blood through a vein and well, COME ON!

UGH. JEANNIE BEING 2000 YEARS OLD NEVER WORKS WITH ALL OF THE PEOPLE SHE MET YEARS AGO who were not around 2000 years ago!

Did not mean to yell but it sometimes is annoying. She can move her bottle around when she is in it even if it's "corked" yet she just stayed on the beach for 2000 years???????? Never thinking to move the bottle somewhere to be seen.
