  Commander : My men had Grundy well in hand until your friend showed up!

  Hawkgirl : What friend? No one in the Justice League would...

  Commander : Don't tell me what happened! I was here! He trashed my tanks, grabbed Grundy and high-tailed it on the back of the flippin' Loch Ness Monster!

  Superman : Who?

  Commander : Aquaman!

• Aquaman : Do you realize what you've done? Leave here! Now!

  Superman : Not without Grundy and a good explanation.

  Dr. Fate : You've ruined everything! Aquaman, stop them. I'll try to improvise something, but I must be allowed to concentrate!

  Solomon Grundy : Go away! Superman always takes everything from Grundy, but not this time. This time, Grundy crush!

• Hawkgirl : [seeing a giant sea creature attacking a cruise ship]  Care to weigh in on the Aquaman question now?

  Superman : I'll get back to you on that.

  Superman : Thank you, Your Highness. We've come here to speak with your husband.

  Hawkgirl : "Speak with" being a polite euphemism for shutting him down.

  Mera : What are you talking about?

  Superman : Two attacks on the surface world by giant sea creatures.

  Wonder Woman : And we couldn't help noticing as we came in that your army is on high alert.

  Hawkgirl : So, looking to expand the kingdom?

  Mera : After all you've been through together, how could you even think such a thing of Arthur?

  Superman : There doesn't seem to be any other explanation.

  Hawkgirl : Come on. Where's Aquaman?

  Mera : He's with Dr. Fate. If he wishes to see you, he'll summon you after his return.

  Hawkgirl : That's not good enough!

  Mera : This audience is concluded.

• Aquaman : [Superman holds an unconscious Grundy over his shoulder]  Give him to me, Superman.

  Superman : Let's slow this down. It's way past time you explained what's going on here.

  Aquaman : I'll explain it to your grieving friends.

  [as he leaps in attack, Superman sighs and knocks him out with one punch] 

• Wonder Woman : [outside Dr. Fate's castle tower]  No door?

  Superman : Fate!

  Hawkgirl : [getting no response]  Nobody home.

  Superman : I want to see for myself.

  [punching a wall and being forced back by a protective barrier] 

  Superman : Magic.

  Hawkgirl : Let me give it a shot.

  [smashing a hole in the wall with her mace]

  Wonder Woman : [entering and seeing staircases that appear to lead to nowhere]  Nice use of space.
