Stunningly beautiful
bardy925 March 2021
One of my favourite episodes as it had some of the most beautiful dialogue and music, a really unique and sombre world, excellent direction and a very thematically cohesive feel. The new characters in this episode are fascinating and very well realised. One thing I will say is jet is kind of a prick and I think I was supposed to feel that he did the right thing, but he definitely did not so I'm unsure. Regardless, this is a phenomenally good episode, really something you can indulge in.

Loose Plotting Can't Handle Depth
frankelee6 January 2022
This sort of episode shows why the loose plots and shallow stories don't really mix well with depth. Of course I know there must be numerous fans of the show who think "It's so deep and beautiful!"

Maybe in anime, but not in tougher media forms. This is just a story outline, animated quickly. We learn Jet has a tragic romance in the past. We're told, not shown this, as the characters breeze through meaningless clichés.

Then there's a pointless extended action scene that's silly and a little cringe to end things.
