  Arnie Becker : Yeah. Hotshot architect walks out on wife and child, I should be able to carve out a major counsel fee. Whatever midsection.

  Douglas Brackman, Jr. : You're here, having just seen the quarterly reports, whether we were all doing likewise.

  Leland McKenzie : Yes, uh, Stuart, you might fill us in a few, these horrible tales.

  Douglas Brackman, Jr. : We're sluggish and bloated. We need to be lean and mean. On that, we're adjourned.

  Arnie Becker : When did things start to go wrong?

  Arnie Becker : What do you wanna do?

  Corrinne Hammond : Probably wanna run him over with a car. The problem is we have a 7-year-old daughter who loves us both. So what I think I need to do is to resolve this thing as quickly and peacefully as possible. Okay?

  Arnie Becker : Whatever you want. I will need a $7,500 retainer from you.

  Corrinne Hammond : Okay.

  Arnie Becker : And today, not tomorrow, today, we changed the locks on your house.

  Corrinne Hammond : Is that really necessary?

  Arnie Becker : It is if you have anything you don't want him to take.

  Corrinne Hammond : I don't think Randy would do that. Who do I make this out to?

  Arnie Becker : McKenzie Brackman. You have a key to his place?

  Corrinne Hammond : No.

  Arnie Becker : Why should he have a key to yours?

  Corrinne Hammond : Just seems a little drastic. I don't know.

  Arnie Becker : Deal from strength, Corrinne. That's the way to resolve this quickly.

  Corrinne Hammond : All right.

  [Handover the check] 

  Corrinne Hammond : I'll change the locks. But I want you to understand, divorced or not, to our daughter, we're still a family.

  Arnie Becker : What does that say?

  Corrinne Hammond : [Reading]  "Arnold Becker, Family Law."
