- The Army challenges the rangers to fight on July 4 but the Pryor gang stealing silver from a local mine is messing with their plans. The rangers scheme to get their man in the ring while the boss of the ring has a surprise for the rangers.
- The Rangers and the Army have a continuing battle over who is the best. The Army is putting up its boxing champ against the best the Rangers can produce on the Fourth of July. Ranger Moran is goaded into taking the challenge. The Pryor gang has been stealing silver shipments from a local mine and the Rangers are being pressed to catch them. Parmalee decides to move the silver into the bank and hope the gang strikes the mine on the Fourth of July. He assigns all the rangers to work that day costing Ranger Moran a month's wages for missing the fight. Chad and Joe as usual scheme to get Moran in the ring not realizing they have fallen afoul of the gang pulling an inside job. When the silver is stolen, they have to recover it and handle the fallout.—Anonymous
- The Rangers are too interested in a boxing match with the cavalry to realize that silver is being stolen from right out under their noses.
