Darlene (a charming performance by the yummy Linda Doucett) gets an offer to pose nude for Playboy. Naturally, Hank (Jeffrey Tambor in top oily and conniving form) tries to angle his way into Darlene's pictorial.
Hank's trademark shameless boot-licking really kicks into overdrive in this particular episode; it's especially funny to see Hank blatantly suck up to Hugh Hefner and to watch Arthur (a marvelously cranky Rip Torn) advise Hank to try to keep a low profile on Darlene's Playboy spread. Moreover, Larry (Garry Shandling, as nicely antsy as ever) squabbles with Francine (sharply played by Kathryn Harrold) about her moving into the house with him; this subplot provides a good deal of additional hilarity. A total hoot.
