Larry worries about not being likeable enough
Woodyanders18 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Larry (Garry Shandling in peak neurotic form) tries to be nicer to everyone and asks Arthur (well played to the crusty hilt by Rip Torn) to start running the show using focus groups after market research shows that audience members don't find him to be likeable.

This episode benefits tremendously from the ever hyper and enthusiastic presence of Richard Simmons, who makes a hysterically annoying pest of himself when he refuses to leave after finishing his guest stint on the show. Larry's run-in with an overzealous new security guard provides another comic highlight. Ditto Hank (the always great Jeffrey Tambor) giving Larry advice about hiring a publicist. The focus group's inane critique of Larry's show is likewise priceless. Very funny stuff.
