- The death of a waitress is ruled as a suicide. However, the girl's disturbed father takes justice into his own hands when the investigation reveals that his daughter suffered from depression, due to her boss sexually abusing her.
- A waitress is found murdered outside the bar and a stray cat is found with her blood on it. After interviewing several suspects, including her boyfriend D, SVU detectives believe that her boss is the perpetrator but cannot find evidence for an indictment. The victim's father has trouble accepting the death of his daughter and spends a lot of time at the police station trying to find answers. Turns out the victim was depressed, taking drugs and unstable so the assailant was able to take advantage of her. The father is so guilt ridden and wracked with grief he pursues the killer himself and does something stupid. Elliott gets too close to the case and has to testify for supporting the father who committed a crime to avenge his daughter.
