- A senile elderly lady is found wandering inside in a home that she was familiar with as a child. Detectives realize that she has been suffering abuse, when cigarette burns are discovered all over her frail body. Following the trail from her greedy, neglectful son, to the expensive nursing home he pulled her out of, they discover the man they believe was abusing her. During the course of their investigation, however, Benson and Stabler stumble across an even more sinister criminal committing even more heinous, previously undetected crimes against the elderly.—Lynne Boris Johnston
- The team investigates the torture of a elderly senile woman, leading them to her son, grandson, and nursing home. Benson and Stabler eliminate her son and grandson as suspects. Upon investigating her nursing home they find her grandson's friend, who works there, lost his temper and burnt her repeatedly, explaining her wounds and ending the initial investigation. The elderly woman then suddenly experiences cardiac arrest and is saved by the woman who runs the nursing home. It is later revealed the woman running the nursing home injects some of her patients with the same medicine that would save a dying person's life, but will put a healthy person's life in jeopardy. After she revives the patient she enjoys looking like a hero and the attention that follows.
