I wonder how successful Governor Wallace's amnesty was. I wonder if the ending in this episode was actually typical to how this sort of thing actually ended. Though I seriously doubt there were too many 'good' marshal's giving gunfighters accused of murder a deputy's badge, I'm sure some did. After all, a gunfighter would do well during a range war or a bank robbery unless they suddenly decide to turn on their employee.
