Gloria and Sam
mitchrmp17 January 2011
When I saw what this episode was about, I thought that Gloria Talbott would be perfect for this part. Then I saw Gloria was in it and couldn't wait to watch! Gloria often plays parts like this. I've seen her in Gunsmoke and Wanted Dead or Alive, to name a couple, and she seems to play similar characters. Have I ever seen her in the fashion of a woman wearing a dress and acting like a woman? I don't recall!

This is another side of Sam Buckhart I've never seen before. I must say that I was quite shocked that he allowed those men to treat him the way he did. I did not expect him to actually take his clothes off and put that garb around his middle, but he did.

And I must say it was nice to see him smile lovingly at a girl. They didn't show that too often. I think this is the first and only episode they show him actually looking that way towards a woman. When he gave her the drink of water by the pump, I thought that was sweet. Then he smiled at her. I thought, "Well, he is a man after all...Indian or not...He's a man!" And I certainly didn't see Stella complain.

Richard Deven also plays similar characters in most of these westerns. I don't think I've ever seen him play a good guy. His personality is great for a bad guy! This is one of these episodes I wish I could rate higher than a ten. It certainly deserved it!
