...this would have been even better had they not shown the real Marshal shot in the opening scene. We could have wondered right along with Sam on rather the man was the marshal or not, but unfortunately we were robbed of the adventure. I think this is one of the episodes I would say, cut out the first scene. It wasn't really necessary was it? I mean, we could have still understood the entire story without that scene and it would have been a lot more interesting...
Okay, so this man...Mr. Watkins, I'm assuming dropped dead of a heart attack in the Marshal's office. It never really showed this. We see him walk back inside, and we see him crash to the floor (I'm assuming dead). Then Sam rushes back into town and announces who the "marshal" really is and that he isn't the marshal. The question of this 'old man' is dropped and we are left hanging on rather he died or not...I guess we'll never know!
