- Old Man Clanton considers Johnny Behan his sheriff so he threaten Behan with replacement unless he stops Earp from rousting his men in Tombstone. Clanton aims to move back into Tombstone against Behan's warning pushing Behan to want out.
- Earp and Shotgun check the livestock at the O.K. Corral. They find stolen horses so they take in the new owner Snakey Jenkins. He denies any guilt but Earp knows his history which includes part owner of a Tombstone saloon. Old Man Clanton has Sheriff Behan brought to his ranch for a "talk". Clanton's men are tired of being rousted in Tombstone by Earp. Clanton expects Behan to do something about it plus he is moving back into Tombstone against Behan's warnings. Clanton tells Behan he owns the sheriff and he can be replaced. A scared Behan tells Earp he wants out but Earp doesn't trust him but thinks Behan might be telling the truth. Doc discovers that Clanton has bought the O.K. Corral and Higgins Feed and Grain Yard as fronts to fence items. Snakey is killed in his cell. Earp decides to use Behan who still doesn't have the full trust of Clanton. After Behan tells him Clanton is moving goods into Tombstone that night, Earp knocks out and ties Behan. Earp, Doc, and Shotgun enter a tunnel at the feed yard that connects it to the O. K. Corral to stop Clanton. Clanton blames Behan for his loss but he never told Behan about the places putting Clanton in a quandary as Earp arrests him.—Anonymous
