Sheriff Curley? Where Are Deputies Moe And Larry?
hogwrassler8 December 2020
The Ranger and Tonto learn that notorious outlaw Curley Bates has been pardoned and released from prison to become sheriff of a small town. Actually, Curley's former partner Sam Farnol arranged for a prison break in which he planned for Curley to be killed, but Curley killed Sam's stooges and appeared to be a hero for stopping a prison break. Hence, the pardon. Curley appoints other outlaws as deputies and soon finds that Sam's wife, Belle, still has the hots for him. Belle stabs Sam and frames Tonto for it. It's up to The Ranger to take on these lawless lawmen, rescue Tonto, and restore law and order. Marion Martin plays Belle. She came before Marilyn Monroe but was the same type of sexy blonde bombshell. Marion was quite talented and really stands out in this episode. The plot of a pardoned outlaw being released to become sheriff of a lawless town was redone in 1966 with the movie "Waco," with Howard Keel playing the pardoned sheriff. But the sheriff was a good guy in the movie.
