Tell me true

Wow! I didn't see that ending coming at all!

In this episode, the Lone Ranger is investigating a series of stage coach robberies that are happening. Interestingly, Cannonball's coaches are not being held up and she just hired a man that recently got out of jail to be her shotgun man. Arriving in town, The Lone Ranger talks to the sheriff and doctor, and they are concerned that Clem Jones or Cannonball are involved.

Usually, the episodes are quite simplistic, but this one seems a little more involved. We have murder, robbery, mistaken identity, trickery, bomb threats, and a pleasant surprise at the end. You won't want to miss this one!

The fight between Tonto and one of the henchmen was also pretty good.

Stage Driving Woman

Cannonball McKay is a rough talking, stage driving female. She hires ex-convict Clem Jones as her shotgun guard, much to the chagrin of station manager Collins. Outlaws having been robbing the stagecoaches, but not Cannonball's. Then Collins is murdered and suspicion falls on Cannonball and Clem. Fortunately, The Ranger and Tonto are on hand to try to unravel this mystery. But it's going to take a dangerous trick to expose the real killer. And be sure to watch for the big surprise at the end. Louise Lorimer plays Cannonball. She had a Hollywood career that spanned from 1934-1982. Louise died at the age of 97. This was her only Lone Ranger series appearance.
