The Ranger and Tonto are after prison escapee Sam Slater. Slater heads for a nearby town where bank employee Jeff Niles lives with his wife Molly. Molly is the daughter of tough as nails sheriff Jim Harper. Jim shows no mercy where criminals are concerned. Seven years before, Slater had innocently involved Niles in an express office holdup and Niles has been on the run ever since. Slater and his henchman Tom plan to use Niles to help them the rob the bank where He works. Niles is really caught between a rock and a hard place. Sheriff Jim will surely arrest him if he tells the truth, but how can he help Slater rob the bank? It's a sticky situation for The Ranger and Tonto, that's for sure! Noel Neil plays Molly. In a few years she would become the second Lois Lane on the TV series, Superman. A good episode with more talk and less action than usual.
