Gimme That Brush!
hogwrassler11 September 2020
The three members of the Cameron outlaw gang are captured, but they managed to hide a million dollars in stolen gold before the posse got them. They are sentenced to prison. The Ranger is in a barn brushing Silver's coat. Tonto arrives with the news about the Cameron gang being in prison. The Ranger steps away from Silver so only he and Tonto are in the shot. They discuss Tonto going undercover in prison as a way to recover the gold. Just then, Silver steps back into the shot partially in front of the Ranger and tries to snatch the brush out of Clayton Moore's hand with his mouth. Moore gently pushes Silver away and he goes behind Moore and starts munching on a hay bale in the rear of the scene. Moore and Jay Silverheels kept giving their lines and the scene worked even with Silver's unplanned interruption. Great work by both actors. Not to mention a real cute and funny move by Silver.

Back to the story. With the governor's approval, Tonto goes to prison as notorious Indian outlaw Red Dog. They break out as planned and are met by a scarred outlaw called Stark, really the Ranger in disguise. But one of the outlaws recognize Silver as the Lone Ranger's horse and the jig is up. Red Dog proves he is one of the outlaws by pretending to shoot Stark, but of course he just shot past him. But the Ranger and Tonto are still a long way from recovering the gold, and these bad hombres are smart as well as ruthless.

Another great color episode. Be sure to watch for Silver's ad lib when you watch this one.
