The Ranger and Tonto are unable to find the trail of a gang of outlaws who robbed a refinery of 200 lbs of gold. Tonto gets a smoke signal that a friend wants to meet him, but when he gets there his friend has been shot by the outlaws. Before he dies, he says that he was shot by a "black hat." The outlaws are using an ox wagon to transport the gold inside a coffin. One of them is disguised as a preacher transporting the body of his late wife, accompanied by three "deacons." The Ranger and Tonto question them but can't act just yet. The Ranger and Tonto know that Indians sometimes call preachers "black hats." They enlist the help of the sheriff and a Doctor Smith but this doctor seems to be pretty suspicious himself. Getting these outlaws is going to be a tough job!

A GOOD EPISODE, ALTHOUGH, WHO ISS HE?

This is a really good, and very compelling episode of The Lone Ranger. The flow of it is, in general, better than most other episodes. There are few to none in the way of slow moments, or convoluted content. Now, I for one need to know the answer to this question, OK? WHO PLAYED "FRANK", THE LITTLE GUY TOWARDS THE END OF THE EPISODE???? He was totally uncredited, which does not seem fair. IF anyone know who he is, PLEASE shoot me an e-mail at dwg853 at juno dott comm. THANKS, DAVE.
Hi-Yo! Silver!
