Spring Fever?
hogwrassler1 February 2021
Tonto comes down with a bad fever and local Dr. Robbins provides some medicine that cures him. It seems that this fever hits the community every spring when the mosquitos come out of a bog near the town. Doc Robbins wants to use the dirt from Powder Hill, adjacent to the bog, to fill it in. Doc thinks this will end this annual spring fever and The Ranger has a newspaper article which agrees with the theory. But businessman Grant Huston scoffs at the idea and temporarily blocks the plan. Nobody knows that Huston murdered his partner when he found out that Huston was selling guns to the Indians. Huston and his henchman buried the man on Powder Hill so they can't have people digging it up. The Ranger suspects Houston's real motive, but how to expose him? Maybe the old phony gold strike trick will work. Harry Harvey Sr. Plays Doc Robbins and is really good in the role. A good episode which gives The Ranger and Tonto two different opponents: the gun runners and the fever.
