Barnaby Boggs is a former conman and traveling salesman who was reformed by The Ranger and Tonto in episode 21 (Barnaby Boggs, Esquire) of season 1. Now he is going into partnership with Ellie Gorham in her general store. But Will Motter also owns a general store in the town and he wants a monopoly. He is willing to use any method, except cutting his own prices, to run Ellie and Barnaby out of business. Can The Ranger and Tonto stop Motter's violent shenanigans and give Barnaby and Ellie and chance to succeed? Zon Murray plays henchman Varney. He played bad guys in many western TV series in the 1950s. Zon greatly resembled I. Stanford Jolley, who plays Motter. Lovely Aline Towne is Ellie. She had a 37-year career in Hollywood, appearing in both movies and on TV. This is an excellent episode.
