Bank employee Thad Kimball has Indian Black Eagle kidnap Terry Baxter, the son of Wayne Baxter, the biggest banker in the territory. The plan is to have Terry ride with the Buck Fargo gang so that they can rob all the Baxter banks without interference. But Terry manages to jump Black Eagle on the way to Fargo. Black Eagle gets killed in the struggle. The Ranger and Tonto come along and devise a plan to have Tonto pose as Black Eagle and take Terry to Fargo. Then they can trap the whole gang. Wayne Baxter and Terry's brother Glenn go along with the plan but it's mighty dangerous. Buck Fargo is a dangerous outlaw and that sneaky Thad Kendall is a real snake in the grass.
