Tonto finds the body of an Indian. He and The Ranger also find the body of a recently poisoned coyote. They investigate and soon locate a cache of rifles and a munition being smuggled to the Indians. Trading post operator Ira Boles is in cahoots with Sergeant Pala of the Indian police to start a war so that the cavalry will drive out the Indians and they can take over the reservation land. Also, female artist Toni Carver is painting Chief White Eagle's portrait. Things boil over when Pala poisons the Chief. He blames Tonto for it and the Indians blame Toni. They tie her to a pole and prepare to burn her at the stake. The Ranger and Tonto stand against the entire tribe with the smuggled rifles aimed right at them! Can the white man's magic protect them against bullets? An excellent episode with lots of action.
