One more must see in the series.

I would have been surprised if Rod Serling had not evoked racism in one of those western tales. I know the guy and his talents of writing for TWILIGHT ZONE show. In those THE LONER episodes, you have a kind of equivalent of what you have in TZ series, except the eerie side of course. Stories that make you think, use your brain, not to understand but analyse basic elements of life and moral. I won't repeat the topic told in the plot line, but Brock Peters brings an outstanding performance, as he did in THE INCIDENT, made in 1967. I would have pretty well imagined Martin Ritt direct this kind of story, or even Ralph Nelson. Those new film makers from the early sixties. The new blood of the American Film Industry. Very beautiful tale of friendship and humanity, no matter the race boundaries.
