When Pvt. Danielson asks Colonel Potter if he has any children, he says "Yes, one daughter." In Episode fourteen of season four, Colonel Potter gets a letter from his "Son" saying he's going to be a grandfather.
Right after Col. Potter yells at Pvt. Danielson to calm down, from Danielson's point of view, the gas mask comes down. But the mask misses his nose and mouth, it covers Danielson's eyes (the camera).
When Cpl. Hitalski physically threatened Major Winchester, Winchester could have immediately reported the incident to Colonel Potter who could have had Hitalski immediately arrested. Given Hitalski's prior record of violent offenses, Winchester's testimony would have been enough for Hitalski to face disciplinary action and possibly a prison sentence.
Rizzo would have no reason to apply for promotion with that promotion board. He is the motor pool sergeant, thus holding a 63-MOS, part of the Quartermaster Corps. Thus the promotion board would have to include a Quartermaster officer for Rizzo to apply for a promotion.
It would've taken weeks, not days, between the time the Promotion Board made recommendations and the Promotion List would come out.
Col. Potter uses his bare hands to keep his next OR patient on the table. He should have immediately left the room to re-scrub, as the patient's skin likely wasn't sterile.
Rizzo was asked at the board the name of the United States Military Academy, to which Hawkeye hints it's at West Point. The United States Military Academy is the name. West Point is its location.
After Charles tells Hawkeye and B.J. again to recommend Hitalski for promotion, B.J. says that Charles wanted to deny Hitalski a promotion because he had a "z" in his name. The name Elmo Hitalski has no "z" in it.
When two other patients kid Pvt. Danielson by asking him to play poker, and they use naked lady cards, Danielson, annoyed, says "Very Funny!" But his voice was added later. The camera is on his face, and he isn't saying anything.
Both Winchester and Hunnicut refer to Sgt. Rizzo as Corporal when they are interviewing him for a promotion. Corporal is below the rank of Staff Sgt., which is Rizzo's rank.
Despite being a poorly educated yokel, Staff Sergeant Rizzo earned numerous promotions to reach his current rank, so it would seem doubtful that he could be utterly clueless when being tested for a promotion.
When Jimmy is on the operating table, Colonel Potter asks him his age and he says 18. Potter says he looks even younger. Jim Boyce was 24 when he played the role and looked older than 18, not younger.
