As often happens in MacGyver, this episode relies on stock footage, including shots of the aircraft at the start of the program. Perhaps because it wasn't shot specifically for the show, the aircraft's serial number changes multiple times, indicating that we're actually seeing several different planes. The serial number of the aircraft shown performing acrobatic maneuvers is 23639; the serial of that shown landing is 88205; and the serial of that shown taxiing is 68379. Finally, the crew climb out of a fourth plane whose serial starts with 643. (The final two digits are obscured by a fade at the end of the scene.)
It's inconceivable that given all of the shooting and loud noises that happened during the bogus drug sale at the hotel, that not a single person heard any of it and called the police.
At the beginning the female USAF pilot has hair that is much too long to conform with regulations.
MacGyver refers to the plane in which he begins the episode as a "T-38 Ace". In actual fact, the NATO reporting name of the Northrop T-38 shown was the "Talon", not the "Ace". The "T" at the start of its name indicated its role as a Trainer aircraft. No manned aircraft could have been given the name "Ace", as the letter "A" is used to indicate the start of the NATO reporting name for an air-to-air missile.
