A reunion for Bill Bixby and Pamela Britton, who co-starred together (along with top-billed Ray Walston) for the three-year run of My Favorite Martian (1963). Britton played Mrs. Lorelei Brown, landlady to Bixby's Tim O'Hara.
Actor Hal Williams (Jonathan Gordon) appeared here between recurring guest spots as Officer Smitty on Sanford and Son (1972).
Third Bill Bixby TV series to feature a guest appearance by Yvonne Craig, who had previously appeared in both My Favorite Martian (1963) (Keep Me from the Church on Time (1965) which was an episode that did not include series regular Pamela Britton although a fellow guest star in her last role here) and The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1969) (Don't Look Now, But Your Scorpio's Rising (1970)). Yvonne had also worked with another of this show's guest stars, Joe Flynn, in his previous series McHale's Navy (1962) (Pumpkin Takes Over (1965)) as well as the Don Knotts comedy feature How to Frame a Figg (1971).
Two actors from this episode died very soon after this episode aired, and within weeks of each other. Both Joe Flynn (George Blaisdell), and - ironically, the character's former love,
Pamela Britton (Betty Forster) would die within weeks of each other - Ms Britton17 Jun, and Mr Flynn 19 July, 1974. This was the last project Ms Britton worked on (filmed-wise. She had subsequently better showered on stage), and Mr Flynn only appeared once after this, though good voice was heard in the animated film, The Rescuers (1977), in 1977.
