Laundry & Typing Lead To This
DKosty12322 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Herb & Roger catch Kaye & Eve doing the kids typing & laundry and tell them to find a new hobby as they seem to have way too much free time. To Roger's dismay, that hobby turns out to be writing. After thoroughly upsetting Roger trying to get tips about writing, the ladies plagiarize another authors work and Roger mistakenly sends the script to the same writer for him to read.

The writer gets involved because the script comes from a lawsuit that Herb is representing the author for. Kaye & Jean go to the TV set where the writer works to try and head off the script in the mail from Herb.

This one is more talk though there is some physical gag. This one predates computers as the typewriters indicate.

A bored Eve and Kay stop interfering in their kid's lives long enough to interfere in their husband's.

Warning: Spoilers
When Roger and Herb catch Eve helping Suzie type up her college paper and Kay ironing Jerry's clothes, they are once again put in their places for still smothering their now grown children. Once again, Kay and Eve are told that they need to find something to occupy their time, so Kay and Eve decide to try their hands at writing a teleplay. Somehow, a script involved in a lawsuit that Herb is representing is mixed up with Roger's, and they must sneak onto the studio lot to get the script back. They end up on the set of a soap opera wedding where they are disruptive, breaking into tears over their memories of missing their own children's wedding, irritating director Peter Whitney. Somehow, they end up singing "Because" when Whitney learns that the singer they hired has been sent home at his orders. It's a cute scene, but the overall legal eagle plot isn't really that interesting to create a conflict outside Eve and Kay ending up as usual where they shouldn't be.
