Rose is perturbed when papers are stolen from his house in the middle of the night, Rose deduces that the miscreant has to be someone close, someone perhaps even under his very roof.
You have to give this season finale a good deal of credit. When you compare shows from the 60's and 70's with more recent shows, you'll note that back then, they didn't often go in for big, epic finales, it just wasn't the case, these days it's almost expected, this has that epic feel.
It's full of intrigue and curiosity, it takes time to discover exactly what's happening, and why, this one definitely held my interest from start to finish.
Great to learn so much more about Halifax, how backstory seemed to come out of nowhere, but if first the series very well.
Ann Bell is wonderful as Sarah, her character is so bizarre and surreal, you'll question it she's actually human, she has a very other worldly quality about her.
This first series has been so consistent, it only really had one blip, but otherwise it's been high quality.
8/10.
