MARRIAGE AND A WHOLE LOTTA' STUFF!
tcchelsey6 January 2024
A classic episode told in reverse, thanks to good writing on the part of Dorothy Cooper. Dorothy also wrote for FATHER KNOWS BEST.

The gang thinks Steve is going to get married --and to a much younger woman, called Margie (played by Chris Noel). The story is partly told in flashback when Steve returns home --the house empty, and lots of uneaten food on the kitchen table? Where did everybody goooooo?

This goofy stuff is similar to a LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE type episode. Murphys Law on steroids and the gang is jumping to wild conclusions. Uncle Charley begins to pack up his things, getting ready to ship out to another port, and Robbie may move out(?) to give the new couple more room!

Wait for the ending, which you probably figured out anyway...

Popular actress Chris Noel, who appeared in GIRL HAPPY with Elvis, and lots of bikini beach movies, is very good as Steve's mystery lady. Noel later gave up acting to concentrate on helping displaced Vietnam vets, especially when her husband, a vet himself, committed suicide. Chris had a long time radio show that was broadcast to soldiers in Vietnam, later assisting and supporting vets for many years. A true hero.

Don't miss this one. SEASON 6 EPISODE 13 remastered color dvd box set.
