HELLO, GOOGIE? HAS IT BEEN 20 YEARS!!!

This episode --we all so fondly remember -- was a big turning point in MY THREE SONS. Tim Considine (eldest brother, Mike), gets married to Sally and ENTER Ernie Thompson, who needs an "adopted" family.

By the way, beautiful Meredith MacCrea plays Sally, who at the time was co-starring on PETTICOAT JUNCTION as one of Kate's daughters. This would also open the door for Tina Cole (Katie), who would eventually marry Robbie. If you are taking tv notes!

One more thing... this also brings up the subject of Steve's being a "lonely" widower, and whether or not he should start dating again and possib;y find a wife for himself? Future story material? Yes, and within a few more years, of course Steve would finally tie the knot.

Best line department: Scowling Uncle Charlie hands Steve his lunch in a paper bag and growls, "Eat it in the park, where the old guys sit!" Best move and groove scene: Robbie (TRIES) to teach Steve how to shake to 60s muzak! Call the Beach Boys!

A lot of moving parts here, but you have to admit that lovable Ernie steals the show, and is a scene stealer himself. Ernie became a cool step-brother, and welcome to the family.

Also look for veteran actress Vera Miles as the case worker assigned to Ernie, searching for a new family for him to join. STAY TUNED! Lots of memories here, and in COLOR for 1965!!!! SEASON 6 EPISODE 1 remastered dvd box set.
