Some repeat editions of this episode edit out a line from the scene where Boycie and Mike are telling Del and Rodney about Eugene McCarthy's door nailing habits. The line is "Eric, realising he was dealing with a man who puts out death sentences on Muslims, took it". The line is present on the BBC Series 7 DVD released in 2004, and subsequent repeats of the episode on Watch and BBC1 in 2011 and 2012 respectively feature the line. All current repeats on Gold also feature the line. Raquel calling Del a "Bastard" after the concert is also routinely edited ouf of tv screenings.
In the flat, after the show, when Del exclaims "Crue de tait, a la plate" Tessa Peake-Jones can clearly be seen laughing at the line as she turns her face away from the camera.
Rodney lists off artists that Raquel and Tony will be like, one of which being Chas & Dave, who sang the the theme tune to The Jolly Boys' Outing (1989).
Phillip Pope (Tony Angelino) was primarily a musician and tv composer who worked on Spitting Image and co-wrote "The Chicken Song".
During the Trotter's first meeting with Tony Angelino, the script is carefully written to ensure he says no words with 'r's.
