Anthony Geary as Laurie's boyhood crush
kevinolzak23 March 2014
"Ain't Loveth Grand?" was a serious episode, one of Anthony Geary's earliest TV appearances, just a few short years before his success on daytime's GENERAL HOSPITAL. Laurie meets up with a former neighbor, Greg Houser (Geary), who remembers they used to take baths together as children. When he drops by to take her out on a date, Shirley, Keith, and Danny are stunned to see him wearing the uniform of a minister, promising to have Laurie home early. Not knowing how to act with an ordained minister, Laurie and Greg end up spending hours together at Muldune's Point, just talking (much to Shirley's relief). As things between them begin to simmer, Shirley is alarmed by a note from Laurie saying that Greg needs her, rushing off to church to see for herself. The featured song, apparently written to order for this episode, is "Sunshine," composed by Wes Farrell, Bobby Hart, and Danny Janssen, from the forthcoming seventh LP CROSSWORD PUZZLE (issued as a single only in Japan).
