To compete with Richard's ex-girlfriend Monica (Laura Barton) and her party, Patty decides to throw her own party. She brings in a live band, the Shindogs (the house band of the TV variety show "Shindig!") and sings lead vocals for them. But, she still can't get anyone to come to her party. She offers to Monica to merge the parties, but Monica won't allow Patty over. She suggests the band go on without her as a chance to get their break. Martin and Natalie compliment Patty for her maturity. Richard phones from the party that Monica's uncle Harold Record (Harold Peary, the voice of Gildersleeve on the hit radio program "Fibber McGee and Molly Show") is there and owns Harold Record Company. Patty leaves for the party to pretend to be Cathy, but the Harold Record Company may not be what it seems.
