[Perry and Della return to the office after dinner. When they enter the inner office, they are surprised to see an aquarium with water, fish, and a functioning aerator on Perry's desk. Della opens and reads a note on the aquarium]
Della Street : Dear Mr. Mason: This arrived while you were at dinner. Gertie.
[Perry opens an envelope on top of the aquarium and reads the contents to Della]
