- Brooke, Poppy, Mary Cherry, and Carmen are nominated for the Junior Court Homecoming Queen. Each runs a different style of campaign. Cherry's mom Cherry Cherry is introduced. Brooke and Sam can't stand living together.
- It's time to pick the new homecoming queen again. Nicole is banned from participating but Principal Brooke accepts Nicole's offer to read the nominees for her, since the Principal is blind. Nicole uses this opportunity to rig the nominee process by pretending as a practical joke that Carmen's name is on one of the suggestion slips. The principal doesn't realize this and adds Carmen's name to the nominee list which also includes Poppy Mary Cherry, and of course Brooke, who's been carrying the title for years now and is the only favorite once again. Nicole asks Cherry and Poppy to quit and support Brooke, but they aren't budging. Mary Cherry wants to win to impress her imposing mother and cut throat businesswoman Cherry Cherry. Upon hearing about this, Cherry Cherry arrives to support her daughter and personally run her campaign as dirty as necessary including voter fraud. Poppy is asked by other black students to run. Carmen is ecstatic that she's on the ballot as well and plans to run a small underdog campaign. Sam offers to be her campaign manager, partly in order to spite Brooke. Brooke decides to run a simple unimposing campaign. Meanwhile, Sam and Brook's parents movie in together and the girls becoming roommates despite their strong opposition. They immediately begin a feud over the bathroom privileges. Their parents try to bring them together over a slide show family night. However, one of the photos in the slide show is of Sam's late father which brings down the mood. Another photo is a highly unflattering picture of Brooke while sick with the flu. Sam takes it with her to show it to Carmen and make fun of Brooke but she accidentally drops it and someone else sinisterly picks it up. When the photo becomes the focal point of an anonymous smear campaign against Brooke in the elections, she blames Sam. While all this is happening, the chess club gang led by psychotic April Tuna plans to have a write in candidate.
